Outpatient Medical and Wound Care

Outpatient Medical procedures are under the direct order of a Mayers Memorial Healthcare District staff physician, and staffed by a qualified RN Monday through Friday. We welcome patient appointments Monday through Friday. We offer wound clinics every other Thursday. The Nursing Supervisor provides required services when the Outpatient clinic is closed on weekends, holidays, etc.
Mayers Outpatient Services will provide nursing services for ostomy, education and care, with specialty trained nursing services for wound care. Wound care patients can be seen Monday thru Friday by appointment.
IV Administration Services, Blood and Blood Product Transfusion Services, Central Venous Line, PICC Line, and Venous Access Device maintenance and care by trained RNs are available Monday through Friday by appointment.
Outpatient Wound Care Services:
•Diabetic wounds
•Leg ulcers
•Bone infections (osteomyelitis)
•Radiation tissue damage
•Slow healing wounds
•Compromised or failed flaps
•Wounds caused by poor circulation
•Seating and bed surface evaluation
•Ostomy evaluation/education
•Wound VAC placement and maintenance
•Skin substitute application and management
Outpatient Other Services:
•PICC line/Central line/IV care and maintenance
•Implanted port/VAD maintenance
•Blood and blood products
•Therapeutic transfusions
•Phlebotomy services
•IV medication administration
•IV hydration
•IM/SQ medication administration
