About Jeanne Utterback
Jeanne was born and raised in the Fall River Valley. She graduated from Fall River High School in 1976 where she was active in FFA, athletics and Student Government. Jeanne earned an AA from Butte Community College, a BA and teaching credential from Calif. State Univ., Chico and a Master’s Degree from University of Nevada, Reno. Jeanne taught at Weed High School, Virginia City High School and Dayton High School before she moved home in 2000. She finished her 36-year career in education back at Fall River High School where she held her “dream job” as the Principal when she retired in July, 2018.
Jeanne taught Health, Spanish, Physical Education and History and she spent many years coaching volleyball, basketball, softball and golf. She also served as the Athletic Director and Vice Principal at Fall River. Jeanne continues to stay active serving as a member of the Burney Fall River Education Foundation Board of Directors.
In December of 2018, Jeanne was appointed to the MMHD Board of Directors after the retirement of long time Board Member, Mike Kerns. “Having local healthcare services available is critical to the overall health of our community. I’m honored to be a part of this team” states Jeanne.
Jeanne enjoys golf, fishing, hunting, gardening and having fun with family and friends.
